Dans le cadre du projet passerelle entre le lycée Saint John Perse et le lycée Honoré Baradat, les étudiants de CI1 ont rencontré des élèves de Bac pro et ont échangé en anglais et en espagnol autour du film La Mouche  de David Cronenberg.

"I have chosen the topic about abortion.In the first time, we can give a definition of this notion.Abortion is the termination of pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a foetus or embryo prior to viabililty. In this movie, we discover that Veronica is Seth's girlfriend.Along the film, we can see the intimacy of the couple.They have sexual intercourse after Seth has fusioned with the fly.Veronica is pregnant.She is afraid that the child behaves as his father and she wants to abort." The fly and its interpretation of aids.

"The fly was seen by some critics as a cultural metaphor for AIDS since he originally intended the film to be a more general analogy for the disease,terminal conditions like cancer and loss of joy of living and, more precisely, the ageing process."(Frida B. / Clémence L.)

"In the movie The Fly, we can see indications in relation with AIDS.For example, the experience with the monkey strangely enough reminds me of the first reason given by the doctors to explain AIDS.Supposedly, AIDS was a virus created by humans with monkey's hides.This disease makes man sicker and sicker as Seth was in the movie"(Maxime B.)

"We can also find the topic of GMO's.After drinking too much, Seth tried to teleport himself but a fly came into machine.Both merged,more exactly their genes merged.Step by step, Seth turned to a fly.At the beginning, he thought he became a superman, an evolution towards a new race.Nevertheless this genetic modification is an error and Seth declined until losing his humanity.(Floriane B.)
